The evening and show turned out to be another memorable evening spent with my Grandpa. I know these times are special because I find myself getting choked up as if I were reminiscing about the present tense. The fog over the road into Galveston was quite thick, but fortunately, it lifted for the ride home. Adam Carroll puts on a great show. It makes me wonder..during the current hard times; will we see a return to folk music and acoustic(unplugged) sets? I think so... there is only so much you can take of overproduced pop music, indistinguishable instruments, and (gasp) auto-tune. School is out until Jan. 5 and the break is welcome. Teaching special ed. wears on me at times because it's hard to see the progress, but every now and then, I see the lightbulb go off and know it's all worth it
